Ok, I have lived in Michigan all my life and I find that as I get older I hate the snow more and more every winter. But, I can still remember things that I have learned in winters past. Things like what happened the first time I spun out in the snow, the damage it caused and how it made me feel, what it was like to have to drive in the snow slowly in order to get to where I needed to go. Things like this you learn over time and you don't really forget them because you know that you will need this info again next winter.
That being said, I get home this morning from work, jump on the net to my yahoo home page, and what to I see?? some pictures of cars, stuck in the blizzard, on Lakeshore drive in Chicago. So I decide I want to read the artical and OMG. I can't believe what I'm reading.
People are running out of gas while they sit in a backup caused by a bus accident, so a bunch of them jump on a bus to stay warm (so far, so good), they talk about people helping people, people that live next to Lakeshore are jumping fences bringing them stuff to eat and drink, (awsome). The bus driver yelling "We're all going to die"(not funny, he's suppossed to be a professional).
Then, they talk about who's at fault for them being there. They blame the city because they didn't close the road when the storm hit because they know it gets bad there and they "Should have thought ahead and realized tat a bus accident would clog every thing up like a cork in a bottle".
WHAT?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? And, some said "If I would have known it was going to be this bad I wouldn't have come this way" You live there, know the area and how it gets in the winter, and you blame the city because you got stranded for up to 12 hours on a road that YOU know YOU shouldn't be on in the first place??
And some people call me stupid...LOL
